If your Breckwell pellet stove is acting up and you suspect the control board, Mountain View Hearth Product’s Breckwell Analog or Digital Control Board Rebuild service (SKU 401REBUILD) is a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand-new board. You send in your existing control board, our rebuild partner repairs and tests it, and then it’s sent back ready to reinstall in your stove.
All rebuilt boards carry a 1-year warranty and are bench-tested before they leave the shop.
How to Order the Rebuild Service
To get started:
- Follow the link here to the Breckwell Control Board Rebuild page.
- On that page, enter a brief description of the problem in the required field (for example: “no power,” “stove won’t feed pellets,” “fans run but no heat,” etc.).
- If possible, include any numbers printed on the back of your control board (part numbers, revision numbers, etc.) in that description.
- Add the rebuild service to your cart and complete checkout like a normal part order.
Providing both a symptom description and the numbers from your board helps the technician identify the correct failure and speeds up your turnaround. Orders with missing or incomplete information can be delayed by 1–2 weeks.

Turnaround Time & Warranty
- Typical rebuild time is about 1–2 weeks once your board reaches the servicer, plus shipping time back to you.
- In some cases, it may take longer if specific electronic components are temporarily hard to get.
- Every successfully rebuilt board comes back to you with a one (1) year warranty against defects in the rebuild.
How to Ship Your Control Board
After you’ve placed your order:
- Print a copy of your order confirmation and include it in the box with your control board.
- Wait for the email with the correct rebuild/shipping address.
- Do not send your board to the Montana mailing address listed for MVHP or Breckwell-Parts.com.
- Boards sent to the Montana address must be forwarded to the rebuild facility, and a shipping & handling fee will be charged for resending them.
- Pack your board securely with plenty of padding to protect it in transit.
- Ship using a trackable, insured method. We are not responsible for boards that are lost or damaged during shipping.
If you placed an order and did not receive the email with mailing instructions, please contact us with your order number and we’ll make sure you have the correct address before you ship anything.
If the Control Board Cannot Be Repaired
Sometimes a control board is too badly damaged or fails in a way that makes rebuilding impossible. In that situation, you have two options:
- You want the board back (Not Rebuildable):
- We return the unrebuildable board to you.
- You receive a $135.00 refund.
- A $40 diagnostic fee is retained to cover testing and evaluation.
- You do not need the board returned (Full Refund Option):
- You allow us to keep the non-rebuildable board.
- The $40 diagnostic fee is waived, and you receive a full refund of $175.00.
If No Problem Is Found
If the technician tests your control board and finds no trouble (the board is functioning correctly as-is):
- You receive a $100.00 refund.
- A $75 diagnostic charge applies, plus return shipping to send your working board back to you.
